Mural
@ucsbmuralproject
The Lane Room in Ellison Hall, UCSB is a space of conferences, dissertation defenses, classes, and important conversations within the Department of Political Science. Over the course of six weeks I worked in collaboration with fellow artists to design and paint a new mural to replace the previous one that had been up since 1975. The mural reflects research, environmental justice, civic engagement, equality, education, and community engagement.
This experience allowed me to gain valuable skills in mural painting as we designed proposals, refined the selected design, created correct color mixtures, primed, sketched, and painted the mural.
